                                page

Welcome to the Dragon 32 Games page.  Updated 30/01/2001 with more games saved from vanishing into total obscurity forever, into what Aussemain called "the infinite ghost libraries of the imagination".

The games below are all saved as .CAS format. You will need a Dragon 32 Emulator to run them, there are several available, T3 works best for me.

The games were all written in the early 80's by me. Some are based on Speccie games written by Stuart Campbell, other credits are in the games as required. Together we formed 'Scorpion Software'. Never heard of us? Try a few of the games, you'll soon see why. You can get the speccie versions and other gen on Stuart's Scorpion archive site.

Try to remember this was the early 80's, and a couple of 16 year olds making their fortune by writing bad software on Dragons and Speccies wasn't as totally ridiculous as it now seems. Real games and 'proper' software (think Lotus 1-2-3) could still be written by individuals as opposed to teams of 30 spending 2 years like now.....ah them were the days.

Game Size Description
Ascot 7KB Racing/betting game.
Centroids 7KB Poor quality shoot em up.
The Last Arcade 39KB First of the legendary 'arcade' adventure trilogy, featuring my fantastic 'multiple choice' entry system, which for some reason never caught on in the wider gaming community.
Quest for the Discs 34KB Second in the trilogy, and not really getting any better.
Revenge of the Arcade Rejects 57KB Last of the trilogy.
Escape from Colditz 23KB Frustrated by how incredibly slow Dragon BASIC games got as soon as you tried to anything with proper graphics, I resorted to writing games using text mode. Hurrah.
Escape from the Pyramids of Zarg 10KB See above.
Diktator! 7KB A 'simulator' type game where you are an evil dictaor. Well kinda. Another not-quite complete game, but included for the notable option which appears at one stage to "sell arms to Iraq". Well ahead of its time for 1984 eh.
